Bread is perhaps the most common food consumed all over the world. It is made with a whole lot of different ingredients ranging from Whole wheat , Bran, Oat to our very own plain white flour bread. Growing up in India, bread was thinly cut wrapped in butter paper in bakery store which never interested me, as it tasted just bland. One more type of bread we got, included tutty-fruity and we ended up plucking the colorful dry fruits from the bread and eating them instead of the whole thing!
This Italian bread recipe is my favorite as it tastes amazing when it comes out hot from the oven. The fresh rosemary leaves and garlic add an aromatic flavor to this simple yet great tasting recipe. An Italian restaurant serves this bread to welcome diners and I go to the restaurant just for the bread ! I always wanted to make it at home but did not know how to, until I foundthe recipe in a book . I tried it with some variations and it came out good and very close to the original !

- Active dry yeast--1 Tablespoon

Take a cup of warm water and add the yeast and sugar to it. Mix it without lumps and wait for 7-8 min until it forms bubbles. In another bowl take the flour and add salt and warm butter to it , sprinkle the rosemary leaves , garlic and knead well for about 10 minutes. If you are using food processor knead it for 5-6 minutes. Grease your hands with flour and sprinkle more flour if needed . Put this in a greased bowl and cover it with a cloth about 1 hr until doubled. Punch down the dough and knead it well for another 5 minutes and divide it into two equal parts and keep aside for 30 minutes. Sprinkle some more rosemary leaves on top of the bread as we get it ready for baking.
